ABOUT US

About Us

Hello,

Welcome to Redline Exercise Rx !

What is an Exercise Prescription?

When we become ill or suffer an injury, we seek medical assistance. Our medical team evaluates and treats our ailment. This often includes prescribing medication to assist in our healing. The pharmaceutical he prescribes is specific to our situation. He knows the incorrect medication will cause unwanted side-affects and fail to help us heal. The physician knows extensive research and testing has been put toward proving the most effective medication for a specific diagnosis or condition.

Exercise prescription works in the same way. Following an injury, surgery, or illness, activity promotes circulation which, in turn, promotes whole body healing. However, implementing an incorrect activity in effort to move us along the wellness continuum can be as harmful as taking the incorrect medication.

MEET THE HEALING TEAM

The Healing Team at Redline Exercise Rx has a combined 55 years aiding people along their wellness journey. Our team approach offers our clients the surety of in depth evaluation and care oversight that has helped many to bridge the gap from injury to wellness.

RALPH L REDLINE

Physical Therapist

Ralph is a graduate of University of New Mexico Physical Therapy School. His broad base of patient experience includes wound care, acute and post-acute, rehabilitation, chronic pain, orthopedics and home health care.

His employment journey has also given him solid experience in neurological injuries, Parkinson’s, stroke, ALS, MS, spinal cord, and traumatic brain injury care. His past certifications include Neuromuscular Developmental Treatment (NDT). Over 50% of his home health care patients have been diagnosed with diabetes: Type 1 and 2. He also has a history of care for patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

There were many patients who asked Ralph if he could provide follow up care for them after discharge from physical therapy. They requested that he continue to oversee and guide their activity programs to progress them on their wellness journey. He and Pam began bridging this gap in 2003 when they founded Redline Exercise Rx.

PAM REDLINE

Medical Exercise Specialist and Personal Trainer

Pam began her career as a personal trainer. However, when she and her husband, Ralph, a Licensed Physical Therapist, saw the need for care to be extended after discharge from therapy, they knew what to do. They created Redline Exercise Rx to provide the care continuum, thereby providing the bridge of care from discharge to function.

After 300 additional hours of supervised activity programming and lengthy study, Pam received her Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) Certification through the American Council on Exercise. Pam’s many years as an MES have given her a broad base of experience implementing physiological as well as neurological treatment plans.

Because of the medical and scientific advancements made each year, there is an industry necessity for health and wellness practitioners to remain current in their field in order to provide customized, successful wellness programs for clients. After much research and investigation, Pam completed a neurological therapy certification program through Child Diagnostics and Right Brain Learning System, which focuses on healing injured brains. Alongside this study, she also completed a detailed cognitive wellness coaching program through MINDRAMP. The two fields of study complement each other in such a way that whole brain healing is strengthened by whole brain health maintenance.

Pam continues to remain current in her field of study by staying up to date with physiological and neurological treatment trends and by annual licensing and certification renewals through continuing education course studies required by their respective supervisory boards. Afterall, brains are elastic and learning really does stretch them!

Address Individual Needs

Redline Exercise Rx staff address the needs of individuals who are given clearance to exercise following treatment for a disease, injury, or other health challenges, but lack the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out this directive by themselves. Such patients are left on their own to fulfill this aspect of their discharge instructions – to begin or return to physical activity and exercise.
